despite the gray skies and unpredictable cold in minnesota this week we were able to get a little sap so that my dad could teach me his maple syruping ways. all that work for a cup and a half of sweetness hardly seems worth it, but once our jars were filled, it was a proud moment. we always take on big projects when I go home and this trip was no exception. i love my family and our northwoods cabin, and will always find an excuse to visit. but for now, it’s back to michigan and back to life and definitely back to regular blogging next week.

ReplyDeleteSounds sublime! I love the DIY spirit - especially coming from dad. Enjoy, Erin!
ReplyDeleteOh, your croissants look amazing!!
ReplyDeleteThat looks AND sounds incredible. My husband went to college in Minnesota. I keep thinking a trip up that way is due, now I'm sold.
ReplyDeleteMy mouth is still watering for those croissants! My mom researched them a little and she says the reason yours turned out so well is because you sealed the edges so all the delicious butter couldn't escape! yum yum yum
ReplyDeletewhen can we go back? we should make maple croissants next time!
ReplyDeleteThanks for fitting me into your family filled week back home! xo!
