wanderlust

these images from the photo series "wanderlust," by  japanese-born artist kanako sasaki, remind me of spring. the urge to explore, to break free and run wild. the brown fields left after the snow melts and the first sign of color when dandelions invade your yard. picking up handfuls of flowers and reciting "mama had a baby" in your head as you flick their tops to the ground. if my sister was standing next to me i would trace a yellow streak of baby pee down her arm. maybe i'll just do it to myself.
