almost instant

in a world where digital photography has taken over the practice of processing, there will always be something special about a polaroid. because of the cost of film, you need to think before you shoot. since receiving her first camera from her parents, photographer katja sonnewend has been fascinated with the ritual of capturing moments in life on a small piece of paper.

  1. I've started shooting film again recently, and you're so right about how it forces you to think before you shoot (something I don't do all the time with my digital camera). Anyways, these are gorgeous! Thanks for sharing.

  2. I don't know.....all these dreamy, ethereal snapshots.... don't you think it's been done and then done and then done again by loads of hipsters everywhere?

  3. i don't know therese. i have to disagree. certain styles might feel similar, but photos capture a moment in time that can never be recreated. i hope the dreamy and ethereal shots keep coming so that i always have something new and beautiful to look at.
