migration

french photographer, céline clanet, captured these images around máze, a small sámi village in the norwegian lapland above the arctic circle, surrounded by some of the most beautiful tundra in the region. during her first trip to máze, clanet stayed over the course of three spring months, when the days were longer and the temperatures were milder, to immerse herself in the culture of one of the only arctic indigenous people left in continental europe, and to photograph the beautiful, unique, and wild territory that they call home.

  1. These images are incredible! I can't imagine living in such a place but it's pretty amazing to see others doing so. That red barn immersed in all the white is so beautiful and I love the dogs!
